Four Seasons Oahu at Ko’olina elopement for Morgan and Eric

December 4, 2021

Just The Two of You

Eloping to Hawai’i is an intimate affair that typically involves just the couple saying “I do.” In the 10 years of being a wedding and elopement photographer I’ve been hired to capture many elopements and every single one has been lovely. In some rare occasions, the couple getting married have invited one or two of their closest and dearest friends. Historically, “eloping” meant a spur of the moment, no planning involved, a top secret mission. Though through the years couples have tweaked this tradition, to make it their own. One thing remains true for all elopements, it is a stripped down wedding celebration that focuses on the couple and their nuptials.

Eloping with The Four Seasons Ko’olina, Oahu

Morgan and Eric tied the knot with Modern Elopement and The Four Seasons Ko’olina. Hiring them along with me as your photographer, is the easiest and most enjoyable path to forever. All your vendors are under one roof and with plenty of experience working together. The specific location of your elopement will take place on the sands of Secret Beach, just steps away from the Four Seasons property line. As a west facing resort, your sunset ceremony will have spectacular views of the setting sun. In addition to the gorgeous ocean views, are quintessential coconut trees far off in the distance. However, the areas that I gravitate towards are the unique rock formations. Continue on to see examples of the lava rocks that line this coast.

Styling and Attire

You may be asking yourself, what to wear on your Hawai’i elopement. While elopements aren’t the huge party that a traditional weddings may be, your attire won’t differ much. However, you will have more flexibility and freedom to wear a dress or suit that is more minimal, for your elopement. As you can see, Morgan wore a minimal wedding dress with halter straps and a peek-a-boo accent. This elopement dress was absolutely stunning and timeless. Eric opted for a cream suit, white collard shirt, brown tie and a leather belt to match. He wore the traditional Hawaiian lei that men wear, called a ti leaf lei.
