We’re so excited to share these dreamy images from Gail and Reuben’s Maui wedding at Olowalu, Hawaii. If there ever was an event that proved nature has a mind of her own and might just surprise you, Gail and Reuben’s Maui wedding at Olowalu, is it. On this day, the winds had sky-rocketed to what felt like 50 mph hurricane winds. The wind was blowing the details (and US) away with it. To make this day even more interesting was the brush fire from town. The high winds blew the smoke filled air off towards the sea which made the sky a dark blue hue, with hints of purple and red as the sun set. Not exactly the epitome of perfect weather, but does it really matter when the bride and groom and all the guests are having a blast? Nope.
It was a beautiful wedding and with a bit of hard work from the whole team, it worked out perfectly. When we teamed up with Tropical Maui Weddings, we knew they wanted something that was intimate and personal—and that’s exactly what we worked to bring to this destination Maui wedding. We’re obsessed with that circular wedding arch with blooms – how stunning! Not to mention the beautiful hula that their family members put on as a gift for Gail and Reuben…the best way to show love for one another while honoring the Hawaiian tradition of hula…tears flowed and the love was felt.
