Oahu High School Senior Portraits for Six Beautiful Young Ladies

Shooting a group senior portrait session for six high school seniors is an incredibly rewarding experience. This particular Oahu high school senior portraits for 2-hour session was a special one, as the six young ladies from the continental United States had come on vacation to Hawaii with their parents and scheduled a 2-hour group senior portrait session with me. We divided the 2 hours evenly so that each girl had the same amount of time to create her beautiful portraits. Of course, we also made room for a couple of group photos.

When setting up a group high school senior portrait session, it’s important to remember that a minimum of 2 hours is required for the best results. This ensures that each senior has enough time to strike the perfect poses and take advantage of the setting. With proper planning and preparation, you can create a memorable portrait session for each of the seniors, one that will last them a lifetime.

One of the Most Beautiful Settings in January

The sun was setting and the sky was a beautiful mix of oranges, pinks, and purples. Raylie and her friends chose to take their portraits during a beautiful sunset in January. Waialae Beach in Kahala is 15 minutes away from the district of Waikiki. It is one of my favorite photoshoot locations because it is rich in character. This beach is frequented by locals and visitors alike. You will find different scenarios unraveling around you such as groups or families having picnics and barbecues, fishermen pulling their fishnets to gather the fish they caught for the day, active individuals exercising, but mostly, people relaxing and enjoying the beach as it is. It is important to keep this in mind during your photo session.

Raylie and her friends took in the stunning sights. With the calming sound of the waves lapping against the shore and the warmth of the sun on their skin, they set up for their session.

High school senior portrait sessions are a rite of passage for many young people, but for Raylie and her friends, it was an opportunity to not only capture memories but also strengthen their bonds. With the stunning location as the backdrop, they were able to show off their unique personalities and let their friendships shine through.

I had a chance to chat with the girls and learn about their plans for their future. It was inspiring to see their close-knit relationships and hear about their unbreakable connection which reminded me of myself when I was in high school.

The outcome of the session was portraits that the girls will be proud to show off to their friends and family back home. It was an unforgettable experience that reminded me of the power of friendship and the importance of capturing memories that will last a lifetime.
