A “day after session” is a photoshoot where the couple gets dressed in their wedding attire, or alternative gowns for the special occasion. We spend 1 hour at 1 location creating artful images that the couple wouldn’t have had the opportunity to do otherwise.

When A Day After Session Is A Good Idea

How do you know if you want or need a day after photo session? There are 2 factors to consider when making this decision. The first, does the thought of leaving your guests during cocktail hour make you sad? In other words, do you want to be present 100% of your wedding day? You do not want to leave the party to take your newlywed portraits. If this is how you feel then a Day After Session is the perfect solution. You’ll enjoy your wedding day cocktail hour to its fullest AND you’ll still get your newlywed photos on the following day. Secondly, do you simply want MORE photographs of you and your new wife/husband? Do you have a second wedding dress or second suit that needs it’s own photoshoot? Do you want to explore a different location on Oahu and take photos there? Perhaps your wedding venue is inland but you want beach photos too. Then this is also resolved by doing a day after session.

Does It Have To Be The Day After

It does not have to be the day after! This is just semantics but you can do this secondary photoshoot 2 days after, 1 week after etc. We can cater to your schedule and find a day that works best.

Do You Need to Get Professional Hair and Makeup?

No! You do not need to hire a hair and makeup person for this secondary shoot. Although, it would be lovely, it isn’t necessary. In fact, many of my brides do their own hair and makeup, and they look just as AMAZING. Take note here, Miranda, did her own hair and makeup for their Day After Session…doesn’t she look incredible!
