Portraits In Megan’s Studio

Yes! You heard that correctly, I have a brand new photography studio located in downtown Honolulu. Moreover, It was a big leap of faith to realize this dream of mine. To kick off this new chapter on her maternity photos. I invited her to my photo studio for the first part of her 2 part session. She brought with her, a few outfits and accompanying accessories this allowed us to capture various types of images. Why Studio Portraits?

It’s true that the majority of people in Hawai’i will want to have their photos in our beautiful outdoors. But there are many reasons to also do your photos in my studio, I’ll go over them now.

Studio portraits are fantastic for people who want beautiful photos that are easy and convenient. Perhaps you are a local family who wants a simple backdrop with gorgeous lighting. For example, you’ve had too many family photos that have gotten rained on or maybe you’re tired of the wind ruining your hair style. In these cases, I encourage you to consider doing studio photos. In my studio you will have the best lighting. Also, in my studio you don’t have to worry about your professionally done hair being ruined in the wind or rain. Speaking of rain, in my studio your makeup will not be compromised by Hawaii’s notorious “passing showers”. As we all know newborns are fragile and sensitive to the elements. Here in the studio, you can protect your newborn from the intense elements like sun exposure and cold temperatures.

Creative Individual Portraits

The next reason to think about doing studio portraits is for its unique creativity. I have multiple background colors and multiple lighting situations. This variety allows me to offer you set ups that are different and special. Let me explain that more in detail. You can choose a pink, blue, tan, black, grey, white, green or caramel colored backdrops. Or you can choose my historic style ceiling high windows! Moreover, I have beautiful natural sunlight coming in from these windows. But if you want to really get creative I can customize a professional lighting set up. From classic catalog lighting to dramatic back lighting or even Hollywood lighting. The possibilities are endless.
